Audio engineers spend a great deal of their time recording and mixing sound in ways that are extremely personal. Technical abilities and musical skills are combined to bring out a unique stylistic voice. We are entrusted with maintaining and adding details to the emotional intentions of a particular sound creation. As sound professionals, we are responsible for building the mood and securing the integrity of many types of aural experiences. At times, we have the necessity of becoming miracle workers and wizards of sound.
Every new project has its own set of technical challenges and exciting discoveries. My motivational drive comes from the possibility of creating something great. The potential of doing good work is what keeps my creative juices flowing and my mind at ease. I enjoy the work that I do. I am a Sound Professional.
“…we have more faith in what we imitate than in what we originate. We cannot derive a sense of absolute certitude from anything which has its roots in us. The most poignant sense of insecurity comes from standing alone and we are not alone when we imitate. It is thus with most of us; we are what other people say we are. We know ourselves chiefly by hearsay.”
